By accepting our Terms and
Conditions on the web site and/or signing
Application Form, you agree to be bound by its
terms. If you are uncertain as to your rights under
these conditions, or you would like an explanation
of any part of them, please contact us.
Passport & Visas
You must ensure that you have a full passport,
valid until at least 6 months after your planned
return date. You are responsible for organizing your
own visa. CLCT advises students to enter on tourist
visas. Tourist visa can be obtained from the
immigration office upon arrival at the TIA airport
in Kathmandu.
Travel Insurance
You will take out your own insurance cover for the
period of your training/stay in Nepal. This
insurance should at least cover; the cost of
assistance including repatriation in the event of
accident or illness; legal liability and expenses;
lost baggage; cancelled flights; medical expenses;
liability arising due to personal injury to you or a
third party, including our liquidation or any other
reason beyond our control.
Collection from the Airport
We can organize for you to be picked up from the
airport in Kathmandu and also in Pokhara upon your
request and you will bear the cost of
transportation. We can not be held accountable for
problems such as vehicles breaking down but we will
do our best to meet you punctually. Also please note
that we are not allowed into the arrivals hall of
the airport so we will meet you just outside with a
name plate. The area is not big and it should be
easy to find each other.
Accommodation
In the family, your sleeping arrangements may be
private or shared, and in most cases you will be
required to share a bathroom and toilet facilities.
It is important for you to realize that bathroom and
toilet facilities and standards of hygiene will be
in accordance with local standards.
Fee
There are various rates for different courses.
For the students who attend full time package
course, a full one-off fee is payable at the time of
enrollment. However, in case of hourly classes, you
will be billed monthly. The payment of the bill
needs to be adjusted after receiving your bill at
the end of the Nepali month for your lessons during
that month.
Program Dates
Dates of your program are agreed prior to
training in Pokhara. You may extend your training
period at the discretion of and with prior agreement
of CLCT. Charges shall apply for the extra lessons.
Schedule and lesson time
Classes are held in CLCT between 9 am and 5 pm
Monday to Friday and 9 am and 1 pm Sunday. The
weekly schedule is made on Thursday so we need to
know any special requests for lesson timing by
Wednesday afternoon. The weekly schedule is
displayed on the notice board.
Each lesson lasts for 50 - 60
minutes, while efforts will be made to meet your
specific requirements regarding days/times etc.
Class size
Generally, the ratio of the teacher and students
is 1:2. However, in special cases, such as learners
strong learning preferences and styles, learning
difficulties, individual classes will be arranged.
Cancellations and schedule
changes
All students are requested to observe
punctuality. The students are urged to contact
his/her teacher or the co-coordinator for
cancellations or changes of any scheduled classes.
No charge will be made for cancellations where 24
hours notice during office hours is given. In the
case of scheduled Monday classes, notice should be
given by 5 PM on the previous Friday. Where due
notice is not given, full tuition fees will be
charged. Classes may be rescheduled subject to the
availability of the teacher.
Refunds
In some special cases, when a student is
required to withdraw from the scheduled course due
to unavoidable circumstances, the fees will be
refunded on pro rata basis. However, 10 percent of
the total amount will be deducted as non-refundable
deposit.
Responsibility of the learner:
While it is the responsibility of CLCT to
provide the means and encouragement for each learner
to acquire language proficiency and contextual
perception, it is to be understood that the primary
responsibility for acquisition lies not only with
the school and the teacher but with the individual
learner. In order that all learners are expected to
take responsibility of their learning and commit
himself/herself to a structured course of language
study.
Code of conduct
All participants on our programs are expected to
adhere to proper conduct, listen to the instructions
of your teacher and co-ordinator. This covers, but
is not limited to, respecting the host culture and
beliefs, respecting the host family and
accommodation and avoiding drugs and illegal
activities. Participants will be removed from their
program without a refund if they engage in illegal,
violent or improper behavior.
